Sir Roland's Garden Plein Air

Painted from photographs while visiting Sir Roland Richardson's Gallery and garden on the island of St. Martin.  Observing the artist at work and listening to him intensely share his passion for creation and color and living the artist life was pure joy.  I hope that I have captured a glimpse of his passion and skill through my own interpretation of my unforgettable time with Sir Roland in his hidden flamboyant garden.

Note on matting:  Painting is 20 x 16 inches, however the current matting crops the painting to 17 1/2 x 14 1/2 inches.
